Does Ruben Gallego Support Non-Citizen Voting or Not?

The Democrat nominee to fill Arizona’s U.S. Senate seat can’t be pinned down on the most basic issue: Protecting Americans’ right to vote from foreign interference

Arizonans need to know: Does the Democrat running for U.S. Senator want illegal aliens and other non-citizens voting in our elections? Ruben Gallego is silent when Restoration News asked—but his record points to “yes.”

On July 11, Gallego joined 197 other House Democrats to vote against the SAVE Act, a commonsense bill requiring proof of citizenship before anyone registers to vote. It’s already illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections; the SAVE Act aims to give that law some teeth to stop the estimated 3 million illegal non-citizen voters who will likely cast a ballot in 2024.

Incredibly, all but 5 House Democrats voted “no” to this straightforward measure defending Americans’ right to vote from foreign meddling. Make no mistake, this was the Democratic Party’s way of declaring they want non-citizen voting now and forever—robbing you of your voting rights.

Gallego paints himself as a moderate, but his record in office shows he’s just as radical as socialist Sens. Bernie Sanders (VT) and Elizabeth Warren (MA). Here’s Gallego’s flip-flopping in action.

Clear as Mud

In Feb. 2023, Gallego voted with Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and other radical Democrats against a bill (H.J. Res. 24) abolishing Washington, D.C.’s non-citizen voting law, which is so expansive it allows Russian and Chinese embassy staff to vote in local elections.

To a patriotic American, that’s insane. Arizona, of course, bars non-citizen voting in its state constitution. But to Gallego, the bill was an example of “congressional overreach” by “a vindictive Republican House majority” threatening democracy.

Gallego wants to have it both ways. “I believe voting is a fundamental right reserved for the citizens of the United States and I will oppose any effort to erode that right in Arizona and on the federal level,” he tweeted shortly after the vote, before demanding D.C. be granted statehood—the far Left’s unconstitutional objective to cement control of the Senate with two permanent Democrat seats.

So he’s against non-citizen voting? Not exactly: “I do not believe Congress should be in the business of telling the residents of Washington, D.C. how to told their democratic elections,” he followed up.

So should non-citizens be allowed to vote in our elections or not?

Gallego—finger ever to the wind—apparently changed his mind after public outcry, voting a year later to overturn that same D.C. non-citizen voting law he previously defended as essential to democracy. So which is it?

Now he’s out with his own bill requiring Border Patrol agents to “advise migrants seeking asylum that they are ineligible to vote in federal elections,” as if that will do anything to dissuade the millions of illegal aliens defiling U.S. law by pouring over Biden/Harris’ open border and threatening our communities.

Gallego says it’s “misinformation” that non-citizens can vote. So why’d he vote against the SAVE Act to stop them from voting at all?

A Rubber Stamp for Destroying America

Here’s the truth: Ruben Gallego is a diehard leftist who voted 100 percent of the time with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris—the architects of today’s borderless America—during their first two years in office.

No wonder Bernie Sanders, the Senate’s resident communist who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, hailed Gallego as one of the top “leaders of the progressive movement” for opposing President Trump’s border wall.
